/insureds · for the businesses we protect
You run a shop, a firm, a crew — not an insurance department. We write coverage for small businesses through independent agents, and we hold ourselves to one standard: you should always know what you're covered for, what you're paying, and why.
// plain-language answers
A BOP bundles two things: property coverage (your building, equipment, and inventory) and general liability (injuries or damage your business causes to others). It does not automatically include workers' comp, professional liability, or auto — common gaps worth asking your agent about.
If you added a location, vehicle, or coverage, we charge only for the days remaining in your term — computed to the day, shown on your endorsement confirmation. You'll never see a mystery number: the math is on the document.
If we cancel or you're switching at our request, refunds are pro-rata — every unused day comes back. If you cancel mid-term by choice, a short-rate penalty may apply; your agent can show you both numbers before you decide.
Every policy document — confirmations, certificates, notices — is generated the moment something happens and stored with your policy. Ask your agent, or pull it from your policy record. Seconds, not "please allow 5–7 business days."
// how we work
Strata is a managing general agency: we design programs, price risk, and issue policies backed by licensed insurance carriers. You buy through an independent agent you trust — someone who works for you, not for us.
What we add is the machinery: instant quotes for your agent, documents that appear when they should, and premium accounting precise enough that we publish it to our carrier partners every month.
// what to have ready for a quote
Your independent agent is your first call — they know your business. For anything about a Strata-issued policy, document, or bill, our licensed service team is here too.
